The company operates the world’s first urban marine fish farm far from the sea. Using a unique closed-loop system, the process water is filtered, biologically treated, and 99.9% reused. This enables year-round, resource-efficient cultivation of marine fish under optimal conditions in the heart of Germany. The fish are fed exclusively with sustainably certified, non-GMO feed. Preventive antibiotic treatments or other harmful additives are not required, ensuring a safe product.
Development Stage: The technology for fish production is already developed, proven on pilot-scale, started-up at production-scale dimensions and ready to be rolled-out worldwide. The final food product (Yellowtail Kingfish) is available from summer 2025 onwards. - Advantages and Innovations
