General information

Short Summary
A French SME, manufacturer of 3D metal additive manufacturing machines (powder and wire), is looking for business partners across Europe distributors and/or resellers, under commercial agreement with technical assistance. The company has developed a specific technology that relies on the direct energy deposition.
Full Description
A French SME, situated in the South West of France, is specialized in design, manufacturing and distribution of 3D metal additive manufacturing machines.

The company's aim is to make additive manufacturing accessible to all, in order to meet the challenges of decarbonisation and sovereignty.

After many years of research and development, the company has succeeded in creating 3D metal additive manufacturing machines using Directed Energy Deposition (DED), a patented technology.

The DED technology is based on a laser source used to fuse materials by melting them as they are projected: the material, powder or wire, is deposited through a nozzle, controlled by a 5-axis robotic arm. The print volume is 2000x1000x1000 mm and can be increased.

Most metals can be printed: steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, cobalt-base, nickel-base, titanium, inconel, molybdenum etc.,

The machines are easy to use, and the technology enables the production, repair and reliability of large, complex and heavy parts.

Standard equipment includes a 2 kW PRC fibre laser source with 3 year warranty, 6 kW cooling unit, a Fanuc robot and 2-axis positioner, a monitoring camera.
Structure is 5.3 x 2.8 m cabin with integrated filtration, requiring no civil engineering optional guillotine layout to automate upstream and downstream machining.
Patented head: dispensing laser-cladding rotary head, with integrated weight loss powder dispenser and manual filling system inside the cabin or wire routing system.
Control and training: CAM software adaptable to your design habits (Rhinorobot/Adaone/NX/...).One week of initiation on Adaone and training in the DED process by the company's engineers.
Compatible with the main MES software on the market (Quasar, Astree, ...).
There is also a coaxial optical camera and a thermal camera with the laser beam; a control interface with operator and 19-inch touch screen, one for humidity and one for temperature control; two interchangeable nozzles (diameter to be defined when ordering). Additional equipment is also available (calibration standards, etc.).

The company's technology helps industrial manufacturers, particularly SMEs, make the transition to the factory of the future. It offers a comprehensive metal additive manufacturing solution that is modular and fully configurable, with integrator services. It solves the difficult equation in DED technology of combining productivity and quality with a rapid return on investment.
The machines are used in the following sectors: agri-food, defence, naval, maintenance, tooling and die, aeronautics, aerospace, precision engineering, education, and the manufactureand repair of pumps, extrusion screws and gears.

The company also produces parts for customers, which are sometimes used as Proof of Concept (POC) to demonstrate the reliability of its technology. These POCs take various forms: industrial prototypes, moulds and dies, one-offs, small series, large series, extrusion screws, cast iron repairs, etc.

Initially, the company is looking for partners in Europe. If other interesting partners (North or South America, Asia, Africa, ...) wish to come closer and receive information, this will be studied.
Advantages and Innovations
The 3D metal additive manufacturing machines proposed by the company have several advantages compared to competitive solutions such as:
- the two options - wire and powder - are proposed on a unique machine
- the test of three-dimensional mechanical characteristics are 35% better than those of the competitors
- the printing accuracy is 0.1 mm instead of 0.25 for most competitors
- the cost of the machines is 2 to 5 times lower than that of the competitors
- the printing capacity is much bigger than most of the machines
- many materials have already been tested with success
