companies story:
We will continue to expand globally and be one of the world’s leading producers of sustainable yarns.
Since its founding in 1898, Holma Helsinglands has been a driving force in the spinning and textile industry, not only in
Hälsingland but also in Sweden and internationally. With a rich history of innovation, courage, and quality, the company
has thrived for over a hund red years due to its passion for flax and yarns and its deep roots in Forsa, Hälsingland. To
understand our place in history and our direction forward, we have engaged in conver sations with owners, customers,
and employees, and gathered and compiled facts about the industry and its target groups. These conversations have not
only illuminated our roots but also strengthened our ambition to continue delivering high-quality weaving yarns. The story
of Holma Helsinglands is a fascinating journey that began with founder Axel Leman and two farmers from Forsa, Lars Andersson in Lund and Lars Andersson in Hedsta. They recognized the potential of
mechanically processing the region’s flax, leading to the establishment of Hälsingland’s first mechanical flax spinning
mill. This vision came to life with the founding of Helsinglands Linspinneri AB on March 11, 1898. By examining our
present, we have gathered valuable facts into our activities, strengths, opportunities, and challenges, helping us shape a
strategy for the future. We are proud to be part of Holma Helsinglands and are grateful for the trust and loyalty shown by
our customers and employees over the years. The journey has not always been easy, but it has been worth it. With a
strong belief in our ability to continue growing and evolving, we look forward with excitement to the next 100 years with
Holma Helsinglands. This brand platform not only describes who we are but also outlines our vision for the future. It
reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability.
